Goodbye single life. Hello marriage.

2nd June 2018 – the day we said “I chose you.”

On the second day of June, twenty eighteen, a beautiful day of celebrating occurred. Nathan and I woke up two people in love and finishing the day as husband and wife. A ceremony in a hall, under twinkling lights, with family and friends by our side, we said I do and vow to love each other, from this day, to our last day. Sealed with a kiss, we unified our families and officially starting the next chapter of our lives together. The second of June, twenty eighteen, is our special day, the day we said “I chose you”.

Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. and when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots was so entwined together, that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because, this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being love, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is let over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.

We vowed to love, trust and respect each other. To always put each other first. To be the best version of ourselves for one another. To be each other’s rock and safe place. To support each other through every decision we make. To understand each other’s point of view. To never stop exploring this beautiful world with each other. We vowed to do all this and more, from this day until our last day.
